So has anybody actually got around to installing them? I am getting laid off in the end of May, and will have a decent severance which I wanted to use for making my car faster, and new paint. My main goal is as much HP without a header, because it's obnoxious. So far I have CAI, ARK exhaust, and pulleys. Plan to port intake manifold & throttle body next. Then.. cam and reflash. Colt cams claims up to 30hp gain with these cams
I don't know if any members on this forum got around to getting some and actually installing them, to anybody interested the specs are:
Primary Intake - 274° .363 L
Secondary Intake lobe - 266° .355 L
Exhaust - 274° .363 L
Price is currently $435 without lash caps. They will sell you the lash caps to make up for the clearance of regrinding the cams for about $150 more.
Was wanting to hear of any experiences anyone might have with using them. I really mainly need to know if it is safe to run them with the stock ECU, as I would need to use the stock ECU when doing smog checks. But I do still plan to reflash ECU with the cams. I also hope the cams won't cause too much issues with stock ECU at smog checks, but that's something I am willing to gamble with if the cams are fine on the stock ECU afterall
Well, I guess if this cannot be done, maybe a V6 tib is to be on the list in the near future
