Something I kicked around when building my struts with KONI inserts and Eibach Sportline springs. I bought new KYB boots SB101 and SB103 for the struts and used the bump stops that came with them. The problem with cutting them is that the boot may slide down to the bottom due to how the bumb stops and boots are incorporated in being attached to the top strut mount. The boots actually affix themselves inside the top strut mount along with part of the bump stops to keep them at the top of the strut.
The question is, did anyone ever have a problem with riding on or bottoming out on the bump stops too offen with lowering springs without cutting them?
