high mileage cam

hey guys just hit 120k in my tib. on the verge of installing crower cams. im getting my t-belt and waterpump changed as well as almost every other gasket. my question is should my motor be fine as long as i dont beat the crap out of it when i get the cams? i feel i take pretty good care of the engine as far as oil goes. are springs and retainers necessary to run cams on a high mileage car?

ohh and the cam specs are .349 210 110
