I'm back again with yet another spur of the moment problem. Last year or so, I had a new Master installed because it snapped down under the pedal. The white plastic bell looking piece broke off, so I had to replace the whole master. About 6 to 7 months after doing so, while driving, sometimes the clutch would become mushy after shifting, and then after engaged for a short while would become more firm again. This striked me as odd, actually, very odd. As the clutch still engaged properly, and felt as it has no issues, I didn't mind this minor issue every now and then. This problem stopped last month or so, until today. I was just driving to my moms work so share some chinese, while I shifted, and the pedal became mushy again, after a short while, it became firm again as it always did. As I was coming to a red light. I went to downshift into 4th, and wam, the pedal went dead to the floor, and did not move. Luckily I was doing about 35MPH and there was a gas station right there, so I let it roll into the gas station, popped the hood, and saw no fluid , checked under the pedal, no fluid. I tried pumping the clutch by hand. This is where it gets good I suppose. I pumped it about 20 to 25 times, and it finally came back up, but now it won't go the floor at all. It almost feels like there is a big rock blocking it from moving. It won't move AT ALL. THE ONLY WAY I can get the pedal to go back to the floor is it I push in the slave by hand under the hood, you know, the little rubber looking part at the end of the slave, once I push that in by hand, the pedal becomes loose again, but then once its back to the floor, its back to the floor. I pump it again, same thing happens, hard as a rock until I manually push the slave in by hand. I have no tools with me, so it's sitting in a mobil gas station and now Im at my moms work. Luckily it was walking distance. I have my mechanic coming to look at it around 5, but my guess it's either the slave, or the master. I may just change both.
