Well, picked up my new car. It is a 1990 e34 535i with a 5 speed.
The previous "one owner" doctor from shreveport had hit a pole at 15mph and totaled it out. A monthish ago me and Dad were looking for a car for my sister at a family friends lot. Well, I found this in the back under three years of leaves, grime, and neglect. It's not perfect, but I fell in love with it. We put the jump box on it and it started right up.
This is what it looked like before the body work.

The Interior is in pretty good shape too, 8/10.

This is what it looked like while we were getting it on the trailer from the body man's house.

Got it home and immidiatly started working on it. Since it was a front impact, the radiator fan had been broken and needed replacing, and we went ahead and flushed the radiator out aswell. After I got the new fan blade on and the radiator back in, we topped off fluid, and watched temp. Stayed square in the middle after idiling for 10 minutes so we took it for a little spin. This car is solid. Other than the cassete players lcd displaying simply "CODE" (fixing soon) and the audio not working, all electronics in the car function perfectly and rides great. Apparently the doctor like playing golf (old mags in trunk), and had a coupon for a lap dance at a dallas strip club tucked away in the glove compartment.
So far I have:
Seafoamed
Changed Oil and Filter
Changed fuel filter, had a hole in fuel line aswell so spliced in a new foot of hose
New tires all around (225/60/15's)

Unfortunately the rubber hangers were dry rot and my exaust fell off post cat, sooo I had to temporarily unbolt it.OH NO! Im deciding whether to bolt it back in once my hangars are come in or run a straight pipe through a borla muffler, leaning torwards OEM for now. A little annoying when trying to be incognito in town but other than that it is ear splitting, teeth jittering audible orgasm on back roads until I get it fixed. Filmed a quick walk around.

Parts need and work needed to be done

Windshield trim
Passenger Blinker pigtail and bulb
bezel for driver headlight assembly
passenger side mirror
Fogs Re-wired
Plugs
New set of front rotors and pads all around (front passenger has a deep cut)
exhaust fixed
PASSENGER SEAT FIXED OR REPLACED (a motor is seized up aswell as a bent rail, looking for replacement)
Rear sway bar brackets
Steering wheel airbag cover

The slight raddle you hear at idle at beginning of video is a bearing in the a/c comp I THINK. Have not narrowed it down just yet.

This car floats down the highway and handles surprisingly well even with the rear anti sway d/ced.

edit
Oh yeah, and the BBS's center caps say "Made in W Germany". Im a history buff so I thought that was pretty cool.

This car needs still needs alot of TLC, and im sure **** is going to break, but I am glad its in my driveway.

More to come soon
