Fuel trim problem driving me crazy

I’ve been chasing my tail with this problem for over a month now and I am at my wits end so I need some help in diagnosing and ultimately correcting it.

I have a large difference between my STFT’s on bank 1 and bank 2 with bank 2 indicating a much leaner reading than bank 1 causing the ecu to add large amounts of fuel to try to correct it. At idle, bank 2 is often times maxed at +32 while bank 1 is at or near 0. The difference while cruising is not as great but there is a definite difference.

Here is what my trims look like at idle and while cruising:

That explains this code:

P0173 O2 Sensor System - Lambda Controller at the Limit (Bank 2)

At cruise, both O2 sensors seem to be behaving normally but at idle, bank 2 is non-responsive.

Here’s what that looks like:

That explains this code:

P0153 O2-Sensor Circuit Slow Response (Bank 2 / Sensor 1)

According to HMA service both codes could be caused by leaks in the intake or exhaust system or a faulty O2 sensor, amongst a few other things. I was pretty sure I had and exhaust leak on bank 2 from the ticking sound I was hearing so that is where I started. It was the most time consuming approach but the least expensive. I bought a complete set of new gaskets (manifold and collector) and replaced them. The ticking noise is not present upon start up, but within a few minutes (once the engine gets hot) it returns. And, there was no change or improvement in the condition. None the less, I moved on to the O2 sensor. I found an OEM sensor on ebay for about half the cost from the dealer ($63) which I change out this morning. Still no change.

I don’t think it’s a vacuum leak, I would think anything on the intake side would affect both banks unless it’s a leak in the intake manifold gasket on that bank but I have gone through an entire can of carb cleaner looking for a leak and haven’t found any.

So now I am back to thinking it’s header related…either the flange is warped or I have a crack somewhere in my cheap knock off SSA ebay headers. I suppose I could break out my tester and confirm the proper voltages and resistance on my O2’s and wiring to absolutely rule those out and I can ask if anyone here has ever experienced this or a similar problem and can tell me what they did to fix it.

So…..Anyone…..HELP
