Hey guys,
So I feel this is a pretty valid question. Especially to people such as myself who have the main basics of understanding engines and how they work, but getting into the more technical stuff, where did you learn your stuff. What are some tips for getting your foot in the door? Where did you start, when you didnt know anything?
Im not necessarily looking for "get a wideband and keep the afr below 12:1" but more of how to get there. How to determine what to put into the tables of the software you may be using, ect. If that makes sense
Here is a site for a real good understanding of tuning for anyone who has absolutely no knowledge of it:
http://www.importtuner.com/tech/0612...s/viewall.html
Ive done a little research and found a few sites that offer some pretty neat info:
http://wikitest.pgmfi.org/twiki/bin/...ibrary/WebHome
This site offers a lot of basic info along with more complex things (mostly for hondas) but a lot of it is still hard to understand.
Also, there is:
http://www.efi101.com/
Which is a legit university that teaches how to tune electronic fuel injected vehicles. The only problem is, unless you are enrolled, actually obtaining the knowledge seems quite difficult.
I feel like such a noob to so much of this and I yearn to know more. Ive bought Corky Bell's Maximum Boost Guide and have been reading it along with taking notes and highlighting important subjects. I know math has a lot to do with it (which isnt my strong point) along with a lot of computer programs that require a lot of code, programming, graphs, tables, ect that can be difficult for someone like to understand at first.
When it comes down to it, I know much is self taught by actually getting your feet wet by means of getting some software and start dabbling in it to see what outcomes come of it in a trial and error form of learning.
Any help for seeking knowledge would be appreciated. Or just share your experience. Thanks guys
