Hey all, so I own a 2004 Tiburon base model, inline 4 and such. The only modification I had done was a generic 'racing' air filter upgrade. I got the car at 48k miles and have never had any serious problems with it.
About 2 months ago, seemingly randomly, but possibly caused by scraping the underside on a rough curb, my car started leaking oil. Profusely leaking oil.
I took it home, had a buddy check it out. Figured out the oil pump was leaking.
Took it apart, a solid 3 days of work without the perfect tools for the job. Patched it up. Next leak - coolant?
Coolant seal put on poorly. Patch that up and do it right, no problems. Right?
Nope. Crankshaft seal now leaking? What the hell?
Go through 3 crankshaft seal replacements now. Is there anything special I should know about 2004 Tiburon's crank seals that might keep them from bursting out of my engine after a week of running fine?
Thanks y'all.
