Fuel line rupture

Yesterday evening, on the way home, my 04 V6 (145K mi) threw a CEL and I started smelling fuel. Once I arrived home, I peeked under the hood and found the fuel line had ruptured and was spraying fuel down into the engine bay. The split is located about 2 inches before the fuel pressure regulator. Good times.

Since it was late in the evening, I didn’t have a chance to really chase that line to see where it connects upstream. Does anyone know, is this simply a piece of petroleum-resistant rubber tubing that I can replace, say, by disconnecting at the FPR and perhaps somewhere along the firewall? Or, is this a continuous line that runs all the way back to the fuel pump (in which case, could be a huge PitA to replace)? Anyone know off the top of their head?

I’ve been having fuel delivery issues lately anyway (I think the pump is crapping out, and I’m overdue to replace the filters in there anyway), so looks like I’ll be doing quite a bit of fuel system rework in the near future…

Thanks for any input on this fuel line.
