Hey guys,
Random issue with my car. I was driving home last night when I noticed the idle was progressively getting higher and higher when I'd come to a stop. Early in the evening- 900-1000 rpms. Later in the evening- around 1500. Now today when I turn it on, it will jump right up to 3500 rpms and just sit there. I've replaced the IAC, replaced the TPS, no progress whatsoever. No CEL either!
Any ideas? I've checked for vacuum leaks, but didn't see any. Vac leaks should cause the car to idle roughly around 1000 rpms, not idle smoothly, dead at 3500. If I unplug the IAC though, it will idle at a relatively normal level. I did not mess with any wires and I do not know squat about checking resistances. I checked the connector going to the IAC and it measured, with the car running at .7, 13.6, and like 1.4. No idea.
