hi everybody, let me start by saying i have a 2007 hyundai tiburon gs. The problem that just happened tonight and hasnt gone away is that my car will not use any gear in drive other than fourth. Park works, reverse works, neutral works, but when i put it in drive it is automatically in fourth gear the whole time, including during acceleration and deceleration. i also want to add that the electronic letter that usually appears on the dash that tells you where the shifter is (p,n,r, or d) is remaining completely blank no matter what i do. the car also does not shift now in tiptronic, but just remains in fourth. and although reverse works, it makes a lurching noise when i shift into it now, that hasnt ever happened before.
Now im almost possitive it is a simple fix because i just was under my dash fixing my brake switch immediately before this happened. so now im wondering, could it just be a loose wire that i may have accidently tugged loose? no lights (ie cel) are on so im not sure what to think besides that a plug or wire was moved and isnt connecting, what do u guys think?
