Heres the background: 06 SE, 6 speed tranny. About 82,000 miles. Just added a F1 Racing flywheel and a Spec stage 2 clutch. Went with the oem throw out bearing instead of the Spec. Used Pennsoil Synchromesh. New master and new modded slave cylinders.
I also had the dreaded Spec clutch wont fit on the shaft fitment issue. My mechanic had to take the clutch to a machine shop to get it to fit.
Heres my problem. About 2/3 of the time, it doesnt want to come out of gear. I have no problem accelerating through the gears, but when I try to downshift, I either have to yank it out of gear, or wait until the rpms drop below 1000. When I pull slowly into my driveway, Itll want to keep moving, even with the clutch depressed.
When I yank it out of gear, and then put it right back, it doesnt bind. Ive adjusted the pedal from one extreme to the other, but all that did cause cause it to slip.
Got any ideas?
