So I went to the Animal Life Line charity event held in a hotel plaza in downtown Des Moines, IA. There was a live auction and a silent auction. Before both auctions took place you could walk around and see what items were up for grabs. Most were junk or crap and I had no interest in kitty photos or hand paintings of pink dogs.. but what caught my eye was a donation from a local auto sales dealer/detailer. In the box there was 3 shammy towels, heated seat cushions, a car cover, a years worth of armorall products, and a gift card for $150 to get a full detailing service.
Someone bid $25 before me so I bid $65. I then got outbid again at $75 so I bid $85. I ended up winning and paid $85 for the whole shabang. I can't wait to get my car detailed! My tib needs it bad. Lots of swirls in the paint and a few "light" scratches and dings. My headlights are oxidized as well. I've done some reading and I've kind of got an idea of what to expect in a full detailing service... but I want to be sure the most important things are taken care of. (Paint and headlights are main concern.)
Anyone know what I should be expecting? Anybody work for bodyshops/dealers that do details?
Just thought I would share on my lucky win. :dunno:
