Hello all, been a long time since I've actually posted on here but I always come here for answers, usually just by doing a search. Back in feb i wrecked my car(was a complete idiot) and i have finally gotten it back in good shape.. with the help of these forums of course =) anyway, i love the car so i decided to put my time and money into it to get it good again. Now im running into this problem however, my engine wont start. :dunno: I know its a newbie question and im definately a noob still when it comes to these things. Ive done a bunch of searching on here but wasnt able to find anything too specific. my only conclusion was that it could be a bad crank position sensor maybe? I turn the key and the starter motor(i guess) turns and it makes the starting sound but the engine doesnt actually start up. I can hear the fuel pump priming when the key is in the on position. Maybe some of you have some insight on this? what are the primary symptoms of a bad crank sensor if that is the case? if not that what could it be? or how would i narrow it down some more? also i was having issues with the clutch safety switch. it wasnt trying to start at all but i put a piece of cardboard on the clutch pedal so it presses the button down further and it acts like it will start now, but like i said the engine doesnt fire up. maybe someone can point me in the right direction. thanks in advance!
