2 questions for people, need opinions

So my first question is about a problem I've been having with my car. Friday after work I had a problem where when i would engine brake going towards slower traffic my car wouldn't come back out of that and pushing my gas pedal basically didn't do anything. It would just stay at 19-21 AFR. Every now and then it would snap back and work but not even if I shift or popped the clutch would it do anything. I had to pull over and turn the car off and back on and then i'd get a mile or two before it would happen again. I looked at it yesterday morning and noticed 3 out of the 4 bolts on my TB were missing so I bought 3 more and got that working again, car started up and drove fine again so I figured that was it. Got on the highway to test it out and the first time I needed to engine brake I had the problem. This time I couldn't fix it with a restart and my car started knocking pretty badly. I coasted down an on ramp and opened the hood and it sounded like it was knocking right below the front valve cover. I revved the engine a little to see if it quickened and it did. I also put the clutch in and out to see if it might change the noise and suggest clutch issues. It didn't. At that point the car would just die with I attempted to let the clutch out so I shut it off and had it towed to my shop. Any ideas as to how extensive this damage might be?



Second question, my car is a salvage title, 2003, roughly 105,000 miles and most my mods below. How much do you think the car would be worth running and how much do you think I could sell all my stuff for if I junked the car? I'm thinking, if it ends up being a blown motor or needing extensive motor work it's going to cost more than it's worth to keep the car. I assumed my car was worth 5k before this happened. Is that accurate?
