Hi guys,
I've got a few problems here with my recently turbocharged tiburon...
I have the 04 betaII maf / cvvt model with the:
Jattus td05-20g turbo, headers and exhaust manifold
AEM FIC
AEM Wideband Failsafe
Ngm 525cc injectors (to be installed)
60x30cm front mount intercooler
I've got a feeling the head gasket may have failed... There is no sign of oil in the coolant or the other way around but it's losing coolant fairly rapidly and it overheated on the motorway last week. I've changed the thermostat and flushed the coolant but I'm still overheating at 60mph+
The temperature seems OK at idle even when holding the RPM at 2k for a few minutes. I have a little white smoke but it may well be just condensation as it's only 2-3oC here.
I'm running the stock injectors at the moment with the 8 psi spring installed in the wastegate. I've been trying to get a good base tune sorted before changing the injectors but stock ecu is fighting in closed loop mode.
My target AFR's are:
idle: 14.7 when warn
cruise: 15
boost: 11.6-12.3
Does this sound ok? Does anyone know the stock AFR's and what would you consider the overly rich / lean limits for the tib? Could a brief AFR of 10.5 or 15.5 cause it to overheat?
Here's a quick video of the tailpipe... hope you guys can help :-)
