I've noticed alot of people asking questions about mufflers, headers, cat backs, high flow cats, pretty much every exhaust part for the I4 tibbys. ive done some searching and notice there isnt an "official" I4 exhaust info thread. The v6 boys have one, so why not us?
this thread is created to help Tiburon owners/modders, old and new, get a full understanding on how to mod the exhausts on their car, regarding pricing, sound etc
as stated once before, most "v6" exhausts (catbacks) will fit your i4 Tiburon with little modification to the flanges.
as far as this thread goes. please state your exhaust. from the block back. (if modded that far) and post the part brand/price/installation process (easy-hard)/and any other info you might have on your part ( sound difference, build quality etc.) also any personal info on the part and a rating out of 10 once done, feel free to post videos, or pictures of your setup and hopefully we can help some people out. please be paitent with this thread, im not 100% sure if its been posted before, but im sure we've all been in the situation on debating on what to do to our Tiburons regarding exhaust.

Wade787b's tiburon exhaust (with the header)
Header: OBX. PRICE: 245$ INSTALLATION: pretty easy. had to make o2 sensor location and required extension of o2 sensor wiring. came with flex pipe OTHER: made my tiburon very raspy, and loud and more powerful. the sound though personally wasnt for me, also threw a CEL code build quality was average, didnt have them long. 7/10
Cat: Magnaflow HFC. PRICE: 75$ INSTALLATION: very simple. OTHER: made my tiburon louder then the stock cat, a bit more ballsy, havent had no issues with it. 9/10
CAT BACK: Custom. PRICE: 500$ (dual exit, stainless, 2.5 inch) INSTALLATION: took a while for the bends, got it done at local exhaust shop. they did a good job on it, depending where you go OTHER: my exhaust is great, havent had any issues on it. quality is good, no rust or holes made my car alot louder but deeper (just cat back), and i felt the power forsure. 8/10
Resonator: Vibrants 18 inch bottle style. PRICE: 45$ INSTALLATION: very easy. OTHER: helped my car so much, it really toned down the raspy when I had the header (compared to when I didnt have it) didnt lose any power gains on it, and it took pretty much all of the cabin drone out while driving. great quality I love this addition 9.5/10
Mufflers: Flo-Pro PRICE: 70$ each INSTALLATION: medium due to the fact of the measurements, and custom cat back. OTHER: with just a cat back they really sounded nice, deep tone, with little popping on the overun. personally i dont mind them, im not a fan of the look and quality is average but oh well, I would consider getting new ones when the funds are better 7.5/10
Overall: im happy with my exhaust now. it sounds awesome with the header gone, but i lost some power. custom is pretty sweet and you can make your own exhaust up, but its a headache to deal with sometimes. 8/10
