perplexing issue

Not sure if I got the right forum, but I have run out of options.

I have a 1999 Hyundai Tiburon that is currently giving me an issue. I have taken it to three different garages and even the Hyundai dealership can't seem to help me. I had a check engine light come on in my car about a month ago. I went to get it checked at AutoZone but I was soon discovered that the OBD-ii port is missing from under my dash. The space is there, but the port was removed by the previous owner, which I was told was nearly physically impossible -- but it happened. I was told it was likely just a dummy light, so paid no mind to it. About two weeks ago my car stalled while idling at a stoplight.

The car will only cold start, and once the engine warms up it will die again. Initially, we tested the spark plugs and was told it was an ignition coil. We replaced it, and the Check Engine light even went off. It hasn't come back on. The car ran like normal for about 36 hours, then resumed the same problems as before. The other options I found were a fuel pump, O2 sensor, and a vacuum leak. However, none seem to be the reason my car stalls but will turn back on after cooling off. The temp gauge is normal, so I don't believe it's overheating. No one can tell me the issue without the OBD-ii port, though (the person I bought it off of removed it to mod the dashboard and radio). On at a loss, and again, no one seems to be able to plug into my car from under the good, either (they don't have the equipment).
