okay so i recently got my side skirts from Import Shark and they rubbed along the bottom part of my door really bad and after researching i saw a thread with Speedy explaining how he did his and this is what i came up with... I want to say Thanks Speedy first of all...Anywho here goes the DIY
tools:
*1 philips screw driver
*Drill
*Sharp knife/Razor/saw
*12 screws made for penetrating metal (i dont know proper name of the screws)
*Side Skirt clips
*150-250 grit of sand paper
Optional: used oem/factory side skirts to modify
Step 1: in order to remove the Factory side skirts you will need to unscrew 7 screws under the skirts using a philips screwdriver.

Step 2: After that on the inside rear quarterpanel you will see one black plastic screw attacked on the skirt. Unscrew that also.
Step 3: Pull the factory side skirts off.(Note-you will most likely break all the clips off and have to buy some.i bought mine at a local body paint shop)..the reason why the clips break is the way hyundai made the tabs on the side skirts...i think 5 tabs are facing left (on the left half) and the other 5 are faceing right( on the right half of each factory skirt) and they slide out the way there faceing, but since both sides are faceing in the opposite direction its near impossible to take them out without breaking clips.( Note :Another thing if by any chance you break a tab were the clips go, just glue it back on with a strong Epoxy glue and it will be as good as new.)
Step 4: you will have to make to cuts on the original side skirt...the firts Cut using either a sharp knife/razor/saw(i used a saw) will be at the end part of the side skirts (where the side skirts ends towards the rear wheels)and where the skirt meets the quarter panel. Then place back the factory skirts...(Note: i didnt want to mutilate my Original sides so i went a bought some out of a junker, that is why the side is silver )

Step 5: Procced to test fit the GT tech sides on and start to point out the areas where the skirts rub on the door. After that you il want to take the off and sand the skirts with a 150 to 250 grit until you barely rub anymore.

Step 6: Next you will need a drill a few screws. Place one screw on the front where the skirt meets with the front wheel and drill two more screw in the rear of the skirt. After that 3 more screw on top of the skirts( this should now level the middle part and should not rub anymore) if you do get a little rubbing remove the GT tech skirts and start sanding the area that is rubbing until no longer needed.
