I could really use some advice here, cv boot has been leaking and the axle started to crap out.
Special ordered a brand new cv from autozone, made sure it was for the driver side. Got the stock axle out no problem. But the replacement won't lock in, the splines seem to be rotating without spinning the gear. I checked the c clip. Took it off and tightened it with no luck, double checked size comparisons. The diameter of the new cv's spline is thinner than stock.
My question is, are their different cv's for 03' GT driver side?
Going to return and order a Reman, hopefully something works out.
