Hey guys, i sort of dissapeared from the forums for a while, ive been having some decent problems with the tib and its halted any further progress with the car.
I had my wheel bearing go bad a couple months ago and i replaced it with a mechanic at my work. About a month ago i noticed some slight vibrations and some whirring noises. Thought it was my bearings again. Wasnt those, i then replaced my outer tie rod end and lower ball joints on both sides. I just replaced both my cv shafts and nothing has changed. Im running out of things in the front to change. It sounds like a bad cv shaft or bearing still. Since both are new i doubt its that.
We put my wheels up in the air last night and put the car into drive, the passenger side spins fine without noises at all. When i chock the passenger side and let the driverside wheel go, theres some noises and almost a grinding noise, when you shift into second it sounds like its way worse. The noise is only coming from my drivers side. From what ive seen online this is pointing to a possible bad differential bearing... which blows. Im assuming a new transmission is in place. i dont think it would be worth the hassle of trying to replace the bearing and make sure theres transmission damage or any metal from the bearing. Anyone have any insight? Im running out of money and time and ive already put too much into the car.
