December 2010: Car wrecked by original owner and repurchased by me. From here the journey began
February 2011: Fenders, hood, bumper, subframe, radiator and windshield all replaced to OEM Spec. The headlights were replaced with a set of Shark Racing headlights with Blue SMD Angel Eyes already installed. Also mounted the Megan Racing CF Wing.
March 2011: Installed the sound system from my previous car. Also installed a CF Gauge Bezel from my first purchase over this site!
June 2011: The first, most drastic, exterior mod um until this point. Smoked the taillights with VHT NIteshades. Did a custom painting with the reverse and turn signal still partially exposed, but not completely chromed out.
August 2011: The wheels I ordered, what seemed like 100 years ago, finally came in. A set of XXR 522s in chromium Black. This mods is definitely one of, if not the most noticeable and visually appealing mods on my car to this day;
September 2011: The first of my performance mods was installed. An eBay SRI with Spectre air filter. Later on during the month I was also able to buy and thrown on a DC Sports catback exhaust. Also, for my birthday, my sister got me a weighted shift knob
November 2011: The infamous Hyundai clutch went out on me, making it almost impossible to get up the hill leaving my neighborhood. This is the only mod on the car I did not take part in installing (due to the obvious lack of tools and time required to do a clutch change). While it was apart, I had the guys throw in a Spec Single Mass FW with the Napa Auto clutch they put in.
January 2012: The month of January was one of the biggest steps forward my car made so far. Both my Carbon Fiber Hood and D2 Coilovers came in the mail. I also was able to custom paint a set of aggressive eyelines on my headlights using the same method and product I used to smoke my taillights. I also, by popular demand, removed the wing off of my hatch, welded and bondoed the holes shut, and painted both the roof and the hatch a flat black tone.
Since the month of January my car has pretty much stood still with where its at in modding aspects. I eventually added an all-around DIY Lip Kit and a custom painted Tuscani emblems, but other than those and a few other minor modifications, I am just waiting for my budget to change from broke college student to what it was before with me working almost every day of the week. I plan on going Forced induced in the future as well as some other upgrades, but right now the only thing holding the improvements back is budget. That being said, donations are welcome ;)
