After driving around my family's mini van for the good portion of my teenage years, as I was going off to college my parents agreed to buy me a car (I had a good sum of cash, and got pretty much a full ride to my university, so they pitched in a little extra to get me the car I wanted.) After a few days of walking around lots looking at all the cars my parents wanted me to get (you know, neons or ions, that whole lot) I saw my Tiburon! Now at first I saw it and was just like "Whoa! That's a sweet car!" Thinking it was way out of my price range, I figured I would just go an admire it any way. So it came as a shock to see it was one, although on the high end, still affordable to me. I of course being still a teenage boy couldn't resist the sporty V6. My mother had a heart attack thinking of me owning such a vehicle, but ended up caving in.
So now I am the proud owner of a 2004 Tiburon!
I am a new user to the site, and saw the newbie forum and figured I should head here for some of your guy's advice/tips/insights
My car, (if I did the attachments right) is a tad dirty from all the winter driving, which leads me to my first question. Any secrets to taking care of my car in the winter? I know the basics, but is there anything you guys could recommend or little things that most people don't know that have a large impact? That would be nice as I am trying to look after my car greatly this winter, so I can make it to next summer where I will be able to have a little more fun with it (both driving, and builds hopefully)
So, my last question, what are things you guys think I should do with it immediately to better my car? I am trying to get some Tuscani emblems to replace the "H" but I want one in Black and white instead of the orange I always see. Next I want to get rid of my ugly antenna! But as far as performance, I am not sure exactly what I should get. I have many long term goals, but I was wondering if you guys would have things I should do before others, or things I should really prioritize when it comes to a Tiburon.
