Occupied Chicago Tib

I'm the proud owner of a 2007 silver GS. I picked the car up a few days ago. It has 17k miles on it. $11.5K seemed reasonable. I love this car! I've had my eye on a '07/'08 for some time now. A GT would have been preferable but there weren't many in my area with low mileage.

My initial concern was my height and comfort. I'm 6'1". I was surprised to see I fit well. No one will be able to sit behind me, but the car is just a daily driver for myself anyway. We have other vehicles for our family busing needs. Dad just needed a new toy to futz with.

Overall, I'm very pleased. I love the short windows, high door tops and sitting low feel. The 2.0 may be weak sauce but I really have no complaints. I think I'm the last a breed that still drives the speed limit. I'm the guy you're usually yelling at to get out of the way. I'm just a cruiser and speed is not my thing.

Being a long time V8 kind of guy, the 4 banger exhaust sound is something that's going to take some getting used to.

I do plan to mod it in the future, but my main goal right now is to pay this sucker off ASAP. I see lots of 16 hour days in my future. That means more ribbing from my co-workers, who seem to think I'm going through a mid life crisis of some sort (I'm 44 years old). That's simply not the case (denial? lol). The car was just a great bang for the buck. The sporty looks is the bonus. This is not your average grocery getter. I like that it's unique among the sea of vehicles at work and my social circle.

I've spent a great deal of time here reading and learning. I appreciate that this forum exists. Thank you and take care.
