Alright everyone I need some opinions on what to do about my Tib. Here's the deal I went to drive my car the other day and it appeared that nothing was wrong on slow city streets, but when I went to get onto the highway I had hardly any power at all and I couldn't get the car to go above 3k rpm. Every gear was the same so I exited the highway as soon as I could and went back home. Searched on here for potential problems and found a number of them so I decided to take it to the dealer. The problem according to the tech is my bank 2 cat deteriorated and sent pieces back into my other cat. The cats alone are going to run me $2200. He also said I need new plugs, wires, brakes(which I do) and to replace timing and serpentine belt. All in all its going to be around $3800 to get my Tib roadworthy again.
I really love my car but that seems like a ton of money to put into it. What does everyone think? Also any suggestions on any other options I have?
