Lambo Doors

What is it about Lambo doors that makes them so freakin expensive? The only thing I can imagine is the gas shocks. But other than that, could I not make my own for less than a bill or two from Lowe's?

edit: if anyone hasn't caught on, I'm a pretty cheap mofo. :P If I could have made knockoff Tuscani badges, I would have ;)
