Hi, I'm attempting to repair my neighbors A/C Blower Fan issue. Her vehicle is a 2006 Tiburon GT with the digital climate control system.
Here is the issue:
As soon as the ignition key is turned into the power on position the blower fan starts and remains on until the ignition key is switched off. When the off button on the climate control is pushed it will shut off the A/C or Heater but the blower (if was on high) kicks down to low but remains running. Also, the fan speed selector doesn't appear to be functioning correctly. The first second and third pushes of the speed control have no affect on the fan speed, seems to only have two speeds High and Low but that doesn't seem correct?
Any help in getting her fan running correctly would be greatly appreciated.
She has actually had the car checked out by a Hyundai Mechanic which quoted her $1,063.00 to replace some A/C control unit or something of that nature which did included labor costs. I'd friggen hope so....$1063.00 bucks to get a blower fan to shut off??? Come on....Give me a break Has to be a Switch, Relay or something within the wiring that has gone bad. I have a fairly decent knowledge of automobiles but electrical isn't at the top of my knowledge list.
