Shock Question

Hello all, i'm new to this site an a noob to cars, but i feel unsure about whether or not i'm bein shafted wit prices. I have a 2001 tiburon (stock) an hafta change all my shock absorbers, when i took it to my bro's mechanic (he has a trueno) the mechanic said all four shocks would be $800. that seems lik overkill to me? I'd lik some other opinions since you guys prolly kno more than me.
