i'm getting close to pulling the engine and tranny.
upon pulling the engine, i will be working on...
sending trans for rebuild
new spark plugs and wires
ark lightweight pulleys
repairing any fray/cut wires and installing new plastic wiring hose protector
oil change
dc sports headers
gonna try to powder coat manifolds
mishimoto radiator
the engine has 70k and i was wondering if there are sensors that i should replace as preventative maintenance. i know some sensors are not worth purchasing unless deemed defective, but sensors tend to go bad in our cars?
also i will be wanting to change the engine/trans mounts. are there pros/cons to getting aftermarket? i thought i read about how some people's aftermarket mounts have broken. should i just stick with stock mounts from hyundai?
i'm also trying to reduce weight but not have to deal with things breaking because they are light weight and brittle.
as far as timing belt kit, are the ebay kits good or should i get from elsewhere? which brand would anyone recommend?
