NGM 70mm tri-flow issues

I'm haveing some probloms here. I have an NGM tri-flow 70mm BBTB. Few nights ago it started acting up. When it is in neutral or park, the RPMs are arpund 900-1k and I have no issues. But when it is in drive or reverseit drops about 200 RPM to about 7-800 RPM. When it does it starts to ruble and rattle like crazy with a bad vibration in the brake peddle. The sec I put on th gas it goes away till I come to a stop again so it's only doing it at idle on drive and reverse. Me and my friend were messing and trying to tweak the thing last night. We tighten it to rise the RPMs and it stopped the radle on drive and reverse but when I out on th gas higher then 1500 it catches and the TB gets stuck wide open. We tighten not even half a turn and it catches wide open when putting on the gas, but a slight turn loose and it still is too low and radles

Another issues with this TB is when I go in reverse it catches because of my hood. The big round oval thing that the cord is on to open the TB (don't know official name) is so high and big it scraps the hood. We cut a hole under the hood but obviously it need to be bigger cause when the hood is up it doesn't catch.

So questions are....1: can anyone help me with the 1st part, and 2: anyone else have issues with this TB catching or being so big it hits and scratches the top of the hood? Also any other TB someone can suggest cause right now I'm willing to buy another one. The NGM 90mm doesn't have that huge top but is 500 bucks and I don't wanna go down to the 58mm bored OEM one.
