Right about when it started getting cold, my car has been taking longer and longer to start. It seems to turn over strongly, but it just takes a really long time to start. Otherwise the engine runs just fine. I've replaced a lot of stuff since first turned up that may have been the cause, but it hasn't affected it:
replaced all gaskets above head gasket
replaced plugs and wires
replaced PCV valve
replaced fuel filter (sock and main filter)
replaced fuel tank air filter (the filter in the charcoal box, also inspected the lines to the box and they were clear of charcoal).
replaced the battery
The strange thing is, whenever I work on the car (this is the only thing I can correlate) and have the engine apart, the next time I try to start it it starts instantly. what on earth could cause this?
It isn't a crippling problem since the car runs fine, but it would be nice if I could get some ideas as to what is going on.
