Lost clutch? on way home

Allright, so 2 months ago the mechanics told me I had a weekend *maybe* to drive on my clutch. It has now been 2 months, after pushing 5000rpm just to get moving, I was coasting down the highway doing 50 when all of a sudden I felt a huge thud and the car jerked. RPMs dropped 2k, car got quieter, but strangely the clutch started sticking better and not slipping. I thought it was cool and a little Christmas gift from my car that the clutch decided to fix itself... until I got to the intersection.

The clutch pedal was stuck to the bottom of the floor, like it was pushed in all the way, I couldn't push it in anymore or pull it out with my foot, it was all the way down. Also, the car would idle at 1-2mph if I came off the brake, I managed to idle through the intersection literally turning left going 1mph (getting a few strange looks and honks from the car behind me) but actually managed to force it into first and get a move on and make it home (a mile or two away). When I got home I was able to pull the clutch pedal up with my hand, not that it would help. Anybody wanna tell me what I broke this time? I'm getting the clutch fixed this week for sure but what else needs to be done now?
