Hey guys!! I know a lot of people (including myself) have been having issues finding a great DIY back up camera mount on the license plate. So, I have decided to dedicate a few hours and figure out this matter for myself and to share this knowledge with you all. Along with this, I have created a video to understand the process a bit better.

The back up camera I had bought was a koolertron off of amazon.

Ok, first off, what you will want to do is take everything out of the trunk except the spare tire so that you can run the wires through.

Next, take off the license plate light on the right side because there is a hole(have to get under the car to see it) that makes it easy to run the camera wire through and makes the whole process much easier.

Then, take the cover off that will reveal the harness wire to the left tail light and unplug it so that you do not short circuit the wire. It also makes the process much easier. Your going to want to cut the black tape that hold the wires together so that you can splice into the white wire (your back up light wire) and the black wire (your power).
Red wire on back up camera=white wire on tail light harness
black wire on back up camera=black wire on tail light harness

Now, if you got the set I did, the red wires for all I know does absolutely nothing.

Furthermore, wrap the wires back up with electrical tape and run the video rca wire all the way to your double din or whatever you have.

Now, hook up the wire to where it says camera (or in my case the aux1) and try it out to make sure it works. You have now successfully hooked up a back up camera!! :3_nosthum
FYI: I dont know why where it says camera it doesn't work for me. I have to pull up the E-brake for the back up camera to work. If anyone could help me with this issue much would be appreciated.
