Anyone ever vinyl wrap?

Did a quick search and never found anything on it. Has anyone ever vinyl wrapped their roof, hood, trunk, etc.?

I just ordered some gloss black vinyl to wrap my roof and maybe hatch with. Looking for some pointers.

Hoping it'll last a year or so until I can just send the car to get repainted.
