Ok so I bought my tib a few months ago and joined this forum just for the insight. I got it SUPER cheap but it has issues...
I paid $800 for my 2003 I4 Tiburon with 100400 Miles... But the previous owner was hard on this poor car. They hit a Chevy HHR head on and trashed the front end. Backed into something and damaged the rear bumper. A PT Cruiser hit the back drivers quarter panel and then to top all of that off a tree fell on it! :S
I figured what the hell its $800 and runs and drives but after buying it and driving it some I can not help but love this little car. I have since buying it replaced the rear bumper and put a new front bumper on it (there was no front bumper :S) I am in the process of buying a hood from a member here and putting that on. Meanwhile I have been going crazy with the slide hammer and bondo trying to patch all the bad body spots on the car. Hopefully I will be able to complete the work sometime soon but who knows.
I have also ripped the interior out of the car except for the dash because the previous owner also worked from the car and had dirt/mud covering the whole inside. So I cleaned that up and put it all back in.
Now for the fun stuff... I threw together some stuff I had laying around just to add that little *wow* factor once its all completed. I put a led streetglow kit on it (don't ask why I just had it sitting in my garage). Did a quick tint to my tail lights but I am going to sand it down and do it again (this includes the 3rd light on the spoiler) Changed out the stock radio for a pioneer and while I had the interior out I ran the rca and power wires to the back of the car.
In the hatch I have 2 powerbass 12" subs in a standard box hooked up to a hidden (spare tire) 1600Watt Amp with 4guage wire running to the Distribution block and from there it runs to the amp and a 2F power acoustic cap.
I am also buying a touch screen monitor and once I get some tax returns I plan to remove the pioneer (or relocate it perhaps) and hook up a in car computer like I had in my old car.
I will post some pictures of the car and its damage levels later once I can get them off my camera.
