Hey NT community. I thought I would tell you guys about my bad experience with a local body shop today. So just before New Years I received my NIA eyelines and high rise spoiler. I did some research and found a local body shop with great reviews from YELP to paint these. After I got the color code from my Hyundai dealer I went to these guys and they quoted me a fair price of $100 to paint all of them. Three other shops waned between 150 to 250 for them. Anyways, I left it with them. Their place seemed really nice and clean and even a little classy for an autobody shop. I was impressed.
So I get a call today to go and check out the final product and to pick it up only to find out these idiots painted it yellow instead of regatta blue (like spooner's tib if you don't recognize the color).
:wtf: So of course I was pissed and demanded that they fix it. Apparently they messed up the order and painted those pieces with some other customers Celica whom they were painting a bodykit for. They came complete a..holes and started arguing with me. I demanded to talk to the owner and he too was very rude. I demanded my 50 deposit back which they refused to give me. The owner said he would fix it, but after his attitude, I said no. Finally I got my money back and took it to another shop. I told them what had happen and even left my old door handles as something to compare the color with. These new guys were really cool and are only charging my 85 to do it. So in the end it is actually ending up better and now I am saving a few $$. But still has this ever happened to anyone else on here? Seriously, now I have to wait another week or so to get these, but in the end I want them done right.
