custom exhaust help 2.5, 3"?

Hey guys just scooped up my first tuscani v6 tibby. ive owned other i4 tibby's but never a 2.7 v6. Well im in the process of setting up a custom exhaust for my car but ive searched and searched to no avail. The car is still n/a and will be for a while untill i decide to go ahead and s/c it once i get the funds but that will be a good bit. Some say the stock exhaust size for the tuscani is 2" and some say 2.25 is. But what im trying to figure out is .. i want to run a similar setup close to stock ( single piping running to split piping and dual mufflers out) But i would like to run a custom from the headers back to a split toward the axel to run out to dual mufflers or glasspacks havent decided yet. I know borla sounds really good but i already have some type of aftermarket mufflers or glasspacks on it as it looks already . I guess the previous owner did it. But the main question is, what is the max size piping i should run to a dual out system to gain max horsepower but keep efficient back pressure to not lose horsepower. Good low end while having good high end as well but max horse. i was thinking 2.5 but i would like 3" but i figure i shouldnt do that till i s/c my car. But thats why im trying to figure this out to not go too big but not go too small to keep a good power range. I want to run the piping as straight as possible while keeping a pretty nice "non ricer" v6 sound and as lil drone as possible. Can someone help me out?? This was soo much easier with my supra turbo. Custom straight 3.5" piping to a burns stainless muffler works perfect. lol And sorry for the long post but i think alot of others could benefit from this question seeing as i didnt see much about it...
