On October 3rd, 2011 I was driving home at about 3 a.m. after just waking up at my girlfriends house. I'm quite awake at this time I even woke up ten minutes early. So I get about three miles down the road and I'm opening my eyes to see myself driving 55mph half way through a drain ditch. So immediately I was thinking oh ****, I jerked left, lights out. After what was actually 20-25 minutes I wake up laying on the ground in the oncoming lane I can see the blur of what appears to be my car to the left because of a porch light about 100 feet from me.
So I get up and for some reason frantically start screaming HELP. I walk to the house and have a seat on the porch, greeting the women who opened the door to help me with a "my necks tired I'm going to rest here" LOL. So she is like "you're hurt". I stared blankly at my cracked up Atrix 4G and i'm thinking "uh wtf is the password on this phone". Eventually some kind of pattern recognition occurs and I remember where the buttons I press are. So I call my gf and tell her where I am and not to worry. At this point in time I hear a tow truck scraping up my car onto it, I can hear the glass and metal getting dragged on the asphalt. I black out again.
I wake up the second time to a paramedic shining a light into my eyes, "sir, can you tell me your name". I reply, "uh give me a second and I'll try and figure it out". So they put a neck brace on me, load me onto a stretcher and away we go. Apparently the entire time I kept asking my gf if she was okay, and the paramedic was like "you're the one who got hurt why are you asking if she's ok" LOL.
Three broken neck bones, bruised lungs, bruised spleen, lacerations all up the backs of my legs and side where I went through the windshield, and a shredded up hoodie need I might add. I didn't have a working seatbelt. I'll never get a rebuilt car again as long as I live. Plus if your insurance company will even put full coverage on a rebuilt you'll only get 40% of the KBB if you total it out.
I just got my tax refund back and I'm on the prowl for another tibby. I went to the impound lot and collected my rims, and all of my Tuscani, and metallic trim stuff. It was too late for any outer mods like HIDs, and of course my stereo was jacked.
I'm looking for an 03 rally red, or blue, or perhaps even black. 03-05 only I dont like the way the later models look on the outside. I've spotted an ebony one on craigslist but it does have 170K miles, I might buy it anyway.
As of right now the front of my right leg has no feeling, I can't do pull ups at the gym without insane shoulder pain, and my left arm goes numb randomly like when your arm falls asleep or whatever.
