My 6 Speed wont engage gears
Today I got on the highway and to my dismay I could not get my car to shift past 4th gear. I tried for 5th and it would just spike my RPM almost as if the gear was slipping. I tried accelerating high enough in 4th to jump 6th and it would just spike again. luckily I made it home by going 50 the entire way, but I wasn't sure what the issue was.
I took it out a few hours later to check if it was happening again, this time I got an RPM spike on every gear. When I put it in first it spiked to 3000, shift 2nd it went to 3500, 3rd went to 4000, 4th, 5th, and 6th spiked about 4500. The only way I could get the gears to engage was to shift from 1st to 2nd, then to 3rd, then to 4th, and shift back into first. At that point it seems like 1st would catch and shifting after that was fine. accelerating slowly in 1st couldnt seem to get 2nd to catch. To me it seemed like my trans was slipping so I took it home and parked it.
I let the engine cool down (Which wasn't hard its like 28 degrees here right now) and i checked my transmission fluid. It is pretty low but not nearly low enough to be causing the issue. I decided to check if it was related to the clutch before checking the transmission so I popped the hood and had my roommate pop the clutch for me and shift gears. Every time he would push in the clutch and shift I was seeing that fluid was coming out of my master cylinder. The issue seems like the clutch isn't getting enough pressure.
Would this issue be caused by the fact that my master cylinder is spraying liquid every time i pop the clutch and shift or does it seem like my transmission might be going out?

New tiburon butdont know what todo with it
I just bought an i4 5 speed tiburon. Im not happy with the power the car has but im not trying to make it a racing car. i was hoping toput a turbo on it and i dont know whatelse needsto be done. im mechanically inclined so thats not a problem. im hoping to get the car into the mid to high 200hp range so i guess just have some questions. What stage turbo do i need, do i need new axles or will stock be ok for this low of power, how do i buy the piping for the turbo or do i have to manufacture it myself

i just go myself a new tiburon!
hi guys i just probably made the first biggest mistake of my life, bought a 2005 Hyundai Tiburon 4 cylinder 2.0 automatic BUT here is the thing.... 2 words: rebuilt title.
the seller told me the only thing that happened to the car was that it was crashed on the left fender, and they had to change it,(he gave me the receipt of the front bumper and the left fender) overall the car looks perfectly fine, rides perfectly fine, everything is fine, im testing everything on the car, looking for a bent frame and nothing! the car is like new! the only thing that doesnt work is the sunroof, but i dont care since i will never use it., i also checked if it leaked, and nothing, checked if the car had any oil leaks and nothing. transmission is smooth, the car got a new oil change also.
i ran an auto history report and indeed it says it had an accident, the engine is the one it has to have and everything, but im a bit worried anyways since im 18 years old, the main reason i got the car is because i got the save on gas, the car was $4600, it has 100k miles, and its my first car, the car is parked right now, i havent got plates or anything
just in case this car turns out to become a mechanical nightmare in the future, what are the most common problems on the 2005 hyundai tiburon(4 cylinder)automatic? i heard that the tiburon shares many parts from other hyundai cars, therefore they are cheaper, is that true?
please help, im really scared of my car now :(

AC Fuse keeps blowing...
:wtf:Any ideas why my ac fuse keeps blowing?? I click the defroster button and i can hear it kick on but I have no heat/ no a/c nothing. I tried a 15amp and still blows. Any ideas?

WTB: Ark V6 R-spec headers + Wiper switch?
Looking for Ark V6 R-spec headers and a windshield wiper switch.
Headers would be prefered in a good shape with NO leaks and everything there for quick install. If you're selling let me know a price and maybe we can work something out.
As for the wiper switch, it's an 03. I don't know if it varies between the 2003 - 08 models but it doesn't hurt to tell. Let me know what you have! :) Thanks!

high temp paint needed
I have been searching my local shops for some high temp paint up to 12000 degrees and I have had no luck with the type and color, if anyone knows where I can find some that would be great.
the color is dark blue metallic, or dark blue with another can of clear metallic high temp also.

Odd shifting issue
Hoping someone can help me figure this out. I've searched high and low with no luck on an answer. Recently my 07 GS, 5 speed, has started having issues shifting into third gear. All of my other gears are fine and shift normally. The car has right around 53,000 miles on it, stock clutch and flywheel. There is no slippage in the clutch at all. It's not an eminent 'I need to fix this', but more of an 'is this a serious issue?' kind of problem. Also, it's quite annoying to have to shift like that, especially since I have a good bit of stop and go traffic in my morning commute to school.
On to the issue, I shift at around 3500 rpms for every gear and when going from 2nd to 3rd it's like the shifter hits a wall. I go to shift into third and it just wont go in; I have to back out of it for an extra second and then it will shift into 3rd fine. It seems to do it more on cold starts and stop once the car heats up a bit. I'm at a loss as to what could cause this. My cable bushings look good, clutch isn't slipping, all other gears shift fine. Would maybe swapping my gear oil to the Redline/ Lightweight Shockproof combo help me? Any input is greatly appreciated.

04 Special Edition Struts
Hi Guys,
I have an 04 SE and I think it's time my stock struts go. I've always known the SE had a "sport tuned" suspension but never knew what that entailed. While looking at the OEM parts list for my car there's apparently a difference in the standard GT struts and my SE's (the SE's are actually cheaper though). I'd rather not put the OEM struts on since they're double what some KYBs are, but has anyone with an SE (specifically 04, not sure if the other Special Editions had this suspension) replaced them and know if the KYBs will go on my SE fine or if I actually need something special for its suspension?

WTB: 03 - 05 Tiburon 6 speed Manual, I'm in TN
hi guys, I am looking to buy a 03-05 Tiburon 6spd. Wanting a very well maintained car. Prefer black, red, white, or blue Tibs, I will not even consider a silver Tib as I hate silver. And I prefer original factory paint jobs. Mileage is not so much an issue as long as the car has been maintained. I will consider northern cars as long as they are not eat up with salt. Also distance is not so much a problem either, as long as it is under 1000 miles from middle TN. I have owned 3 Tiburons (2 2001 RD TIbs and 1 2003 Tib GT) in the past and I am wanting another one now. I am aware of all the little problems these cars have, like fading/peeling clearcoat on fuel door/side mirrors, bumpers and window motors going bad, etc.
Seriously looking hard for one now. I have cash in hand and wanting to score a nice deal on a nice Tib. Check out koreandudes recent FS to see what I am looking for. I will buy a stock Tib as long as it is nice though tasteful mods are acceptable and preferred. I missed out on koreadudes beautiful car but now I am ready to pull the trigger on the right Tiburon. Had my rear window glass replaced today went from bad to worse.. opinions?
So I had my rear window re-tinted at a local shop. Long story short when they were taking the old tinting off the ruined the defroster. I was mad and demanded they fix i.t they said they couldn't because i they said i signed a paper saying they weren't responsible for any damages. when i asked them to present the paper they couldn't because i never was informed or was asked to sign anything. so they told me "okay well we'll just pay to have it replaced and re-tinted free of charge... well here comes the bad part. I dropped it off this morning happy that i was finally going to be done with this whole thing.so i went to pick it up this afternoon and when i got there i noticed right from the start it looked higher on one side. i took a closer look and its wedged up against the passenger side and a HUGE gap on the driver side and the bottom is completely lifted up. i told them that this was unacceptable. they tried to give me some bull story about how my car was "in an accident and the frame damage is prventing the glass from laying properly". I told them to give me the name of there insurance company. they quickly said that they will order an new one and do it again.. so after i took it to a body shop and asked them. they came out and look at it and said instantly that they did it wrong. the body shop also said that it wouldn't matter even if the car was in an accident. he didn't see any damage to the hatch and said "the hatch is a separate part of the body there fore if the hatch closes properly and lays flat then the glass should lay just fine. Anyway what do you guys think.. opinions?
