WTB: Any Brand Short Ram Intake

Hello, I am willing to pay $100 shipped for any brand name short ram intake, used of course. Please pm me if you have any questions!

DIY: Hana-like front bumper 07-08

First: my English is bad.

Second: im not a professional or anything, im just a college kid, these might not the best ways but this is how I did mine.

Third: i won't take any responsibility for what you have done to yourself after this DIY (exept answering questions)

Here ya go:

Attention: There is no turning back - FINISH IT or BUY A NEW BUMPER

Make sure you know what are you doing, here is a graph:

Tools:

Drill, Jig saw, and Paint And Rust Stripper

Materials:

Fiberglass, Filler (I use Bondo brand)
80-grit sandpaper
QEP Seam Tape (homedepot)
Tapes

Estimated Time: 1 day

1. Remove Front Bumper

http://www.newtiburon.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=104982

2. Tape

Image may be NSFW.
Clik here to view.

okay, this is a bad example lol, you should tape it straight from the top to the bottom.

make sure both sides look evenly (use tape measure them if you don't trust your eyes :D)

3. Apply Fiberglass and Filler

Cut a piece of fiberglass cloth slightly bigger the draw lines on the tape and apply with fiberglass resin.

Don't wait for it to be completely dry, because you wanna cut it while it still soft.

Take everything of your bumper, cut two lines that you draw earlier, if possible please take the tapes off, we don't want tape on our bumper right? :D

Now grill some holes so the fiberglass and filler have something to grab onto

Put fiberglass back on , add some cloth and resin to make it stays on the bumper, wait for it to dry, then sand it with 80 grit sandpaper, and add filler to make it stonger.

4. Cut off The Grill

Use Jig saw to cut it off, it will leave some chips but don't worry, just fill it up with tape and filler.

Clik here to view.

Then cut off the license plate mount.

5. Fill in everthing that needs to be filled

Image may be NSFW.
Clik here to view.

For the top part (i call it "shark nose"), use fiberglass tape to tape it over, then apply fiberglass, waith for it to dry, then sand it and add filler on the top.

For the license plate, you do the same thing but tape it and fiberglass from the inside, then add filler from outside.

I cut off the part between the red and the black line and save the part between red and blue, cause I wanna mount my front license plate, but you don't care or your state law doesn't require front plate so just cut off that part, it would be more like Hana bumper (be careful with the Bondo that you've filled).

The yellow arrow is pointing at, I use aluminum foil to make a shape like this pics below

Then apply fiberglass tape and resin, then filler.

6. Sanding, Sanding, and Sanding

Now the tough part, SANDING the Bondo filler. this is pain in the ***.

be patience, use a sander if you have one, I use the Paint And Rust Stripper to make it faster.

When you think it looks smooth, clean everything up, ready to paint, make sure you have sanded your old paint and the bumper is dust free.

FINISHED

Excuse for my English, please correct my grammar if you think it will confuse people trying to understand this DIY

Any advice are welcomed :D

Snow Performance was the first to popularize and develop water methanol injection systems for today's diesel and gasoline engines. From the outset the Boost Cooler has been one of the most sophisticated amd robust out there. Years of development brought further advances in variable injection and today's pre-mapped 2d micro processor controlled units maintain Snow Performance's reputation as a pioneer in water-methanol injection.

* Engineering - Each system has been designed and tested by engineers to ensure reliability and robustness. The Boost Cooler is designed to last a long time. Snow Performance kits do not use brass, or rubber, which are more likely to fail. All component flow rates are calculated and spec'ed to work with each other. Snow Performance pumps are designed with exclusive features to ensure reliability and strength.

* Digital Variable Controllers For Different Applications - Not just boost actuated, Snow Performance has specially designed controllers for each vehicle/application to ensure maximum power. Snow Performance has 7 different control systems, and each one is specifically mapped and designed for their applications. All controllers feature true 2D maps which provides the most correct injection and power under all conditions for the most advanced systems available.

* High Pressure/ High volume Pumps - Snow Performance pumps are specially designed exclusively for Snow Performance to deliver higher pressures and reliability. Features include: higher pressure, integrated check valve, and thermal protection for safety. Each pump is pre-tested and designed to work with methanol.

* Atomization - Along with higher pressures, Snow Performance nozzles are specially designed to spin the fluid supersonically before forcing through a venture-shaped orifice for the best atomization available. Better atomization means more power and cooling. These nozzles are also specicially machined to their specs for ease of installation and clear spray pattern.

* Warranty - Life time warranty available. The standard warranty is a full 1 year. Snow Performance backs it's systems with an industry leading warranty.

* Safety - Their new SafeInjection (patent pending) is the ultimate in safety for even the most aggressively tuned applications. This ensures worry-free power in even the most demanding racing applications as well as full power on the street.

* Proven Performance - All systems are backed with dyno data proven by numerous magazine articles and World Records. Buy the same kit the pros and championship race teams use - buy the Boost Cooler.

* Complete kit - When you buy a Boost Cooler, you get a complete kit right down to the reservoir and sealant. Snow Performance offers more kits for specific applications which eliminates the guess work by getting a vehicle specific kit complete with installation instructions that include vehicle specific photos and performance backed-up with dyno charts.

The Replay XD was designed by a group of racing professionals with over 50 years of experience in the high performance racing industry. The development team saw the need for ultra-lightweight cameras that could capture never before seen video footage from the most extreme racing and action environments on earth. The Replay XD has been put through the most grueling conditions possible and has come out unscathed with crystal clear footage. The Replay XD goal is to offer the most technologically advanced HD video camera systems available today.

The Replay XD is offered in 2 versions, the XD720 and the XD1080.

The Replay XD720 features amazing HD video from an amazingly small package. Mimicking the design and versatility of the Replay XD1080 camera, they've somehow made it even smaller. The XD720 can be mounted nearly anywhere due to its small form-factor and all-round shape. There are two mounts included with each system to get you recording in no-time.

Replay XD1080 HD video camera is all about small and simple. Starting with the small design of the original Replay XD video camera and a clean sheet of paper, they managed to put full HD video into a small package. Featuring a water-resistant, hard anodized, rugged aluminum housing for your extreme adventures. The XD1080 is the smallest and lightest full HD video action-camera on the market. Simple, ON/OFF and Start/Stop make the Replay XD1080 camera easy to operate. Simply turn it ON and Press Record to Start. The built-in LED & Vibration Feedback tells you that you're ready to go.

Replay XD offers a complete line of accessories including mounts, cases, chargers, battery packs and lenses to further enhance the use of the XD720 and XD1080 video camera.

Shops refusing to install aftermarket clutch?

I was thinking about getting a CM Stage 2 and I've been to two shops, one family shop in my city and Aamco transmissions. Both have said there's an issue with the dual mass flywheel that prevents them from installing a Clutchmaster (or anything aftermarket), which I don't understand. As far as OEM replacements go, Hyundai wants $1800, my local shop wants $2002, and Aamco said they would install a Valeo clutch kit for $1600, which I'm starting to consider. Any one have any opinions on this? I'm lost here.

New shift knob...You jelly?

545 GRAMS OF HEAVY METAL!!!

As some of you may know I am a bit of a Zombie fanatic...I have been for probably 30 of my 35 years of being alive. The next item on my quest just kind of fell in my lap so to speak...I was super stoked to have had this custom made and my only regret is that out of my 3 vehicle my Tiburon is the only manual transmission :( This knob as previously stated is 545 grams aka 1.20152 pounds

Without further adieu:

P0133 diagnoses

This video was just posted on a youtube channel I subscribe to. It shows steps to diagnose a P0133 on a 2007 Tiburon with the V6.

In the end, the issue in the video was the upstream and downstream O2's on Bank 1 were swapped. But I figured it shows some good info on O2 sensors, and is Tiburon specific, so someone may find it useful if they were searching for that code on here.

To be able to do this kind of diagnose you will need a scan tool that can read live data, but those are very affordable these days.

WTB: Cruise Control Relocation Bracket

I'm wondering if someone has one laying around for cheap. Otherwise I think I can just make one.

Let me know!

FS: Ichiba 15mm spacers

Up for sale are 15mm Ichiba wheel spacers. I used them for about a week on the car. Decided that I want 10mm spacers instead of 15mm because my car is still rubbing even after a fender roll. Looking to get 100 shipped for these.

FS: Complete 2005 GT Partout!

I'm wanting to gauge interest before I decide to completely part out my Tiburon. I drove through a large puddle while it was raining the other day and I believe the motor is shot. It started making all kinds of noise, the entire car shakes while idling, and have oil on the back of the motor.

Besides the damage described above, I have tons of great parts. The clutch and flywheel have less than 3000 miles on them. (6 speed). Dual exhaust, painted white interior, rims, carbon fiber hood ect.

*** If anyone is willing to purchase the entire car itself, I am willing to make you a deal! There is a considerable amount of money tied up in this car and I am just needing a mode of transportation***

PM me with offers please. Thanks!

**Regarding trades**
Yes. I am interested in any trades for a reliable vehicle in decent to good condition. Please let me know what you have and please provide pictures. PM me and we can exchange phone numbers to discuss it.

Update: Hey you guys, please bare with me a short time to get all my things together. My car is stuck at a relative's house and once I get a couple days off of work I will update with detailed pictures inside and out of the car. I am having a mechanic look at it next week to see if the engine is still salvageable. From what a couple of my friends have said, it doesn't look good, but I will let all of you know. I'm still willing to answer any of your questions.

Flywheel question

I have an 04 tiburon 6 speed v6 Not sure what flywheel i need. Is it the hy5 or the hy3? i cant seem to find any info when i search on the forums. any info is appreciated thanks!

many things in my mind

so guys... i have some questions in my mind that i need an answer for it please...

1. i have a reflashed computer with headers and air filter plus a A/F wind band sensor so the question is can you play with your computer and force it to take more air and push more fuel if i also have a tuned 4 bar fuel pump ?

Also can i link apexi with the car computer on a standard motor to tune the air/fuel ration ?

2. my car loses power after running hard on it for lets say 10 mins and i smell fuel, whats the problem ?
is it the injectors or something else ?
I've got new spark plugs/cables and i've checked the cables while the motor is running and everything looks good and as i mentioned not the fuel pump because i've changed it a couple of weeks ago.

3. i've been using pills like octan booster to boost the performance for sure and am really satisfied with this as i can drag many powerful cars that i never though i would like c230 and other 2.0i motors.

4. best international oil that i can find in my country and good for the car engine?.. i have tuscani 2.0i

one last thing do i lose power if my o2 sensor is not working or only fuel usage and thats it ?

please let me know whats up
